Job Description

The Business Solutions Manager (BSM) –is a newly created role and will be responsible for all aspects of the design, configuration, architecture, development, deployment, operations, administration, user access, security, and support of key technology and processes in support of Stream’s various internal and external accounting functions.

The BSM for Corporate Accounting/Property Accounting/Finance will serve as Stream IT’s SME supporting the CFO, Controller, Property Management and related support staff by advising on process and technology solutions that enhance and enable the business to operate efficiently and scale.  This role will need to apply both a functional and technical lens to solving existing incidents and long-term enhancements.  This position will office in Stream’s Dallas, Texas corporate headquarters, and report to the SVP, Technology Business Solutions.

The ideal candidate for the Business Solutions Manager role will have demonstrated extensive experience and expertise in all aspects of the duties and key responsibilities listed. The individual is expected to have expertise in the underlying technologies and function effectively at collaboratively defining business requirements, alternative solutions, and technology policies, while remaining hands‑on within the technology environment.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage technology relationship supporting Stream’s accounting function

• Provides the accounting business function with a single point of contact for service, problems, and ideas
• Ability to speak in terms the business understands and have the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business vernacular (and vice versa)
• Proactively research and bring solutions to the table that are coordinated within the accounting domain as well as across the IT landscape
• Operate as a player / coach showcasing versatility including:
  • Building business cases – benefits, project cost, continuing total cost of ownership (TCO)
  • Outcome-driven scope definition and refinement (full project lifecycle)
  • Budget management
  • Establishing domain roadmaps
  • Vendor management (products and services)
  • Operating ‘hands on’
    • Project management from requirements through adoption
    • Negotiate and manage subscriptions and licenses
    • Software development and integration understanding
    • Mentor and develop business leaders and junior IT staff in project execution roles, responsibilities, and techniques

Lead Governance / Configuration across Accounting and Finance Systems

• Review existing accounting technology infrastructure and solutions. Identify and address any architectural deficiencies.
• Drive best practice usage and compliance with policy and audit requirements. Develop policies and workflows addressing access administration within accounting software platforms.

Provide Content for Effective End User Training and Support

• Develop end-user training content.
• Develop continuing support framework
  • Tier 1,2,3 help desk processes and materials
  • IT, super-user, and third-party resources
• Provide hands-on user support and guidance, as appropriate.

Define and Scope Business Solutions

• Develop working knowledge and models of assigned business domain
• Understand SRP Accounting’s systems, workflow, data and document management requirements and opportunities.
