The Manager, Client Solutions role for Nielsen’s Sports Audience Measurement team will be responsible for owning the commercial relationship across a number of clients, including renewals, upsell and client management responsibilities. The role also includes the task of defining and managing the delivery of projects across to provide valuable analytics and insights to key clients.   

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify, prospect, and develop new client relationships and generate new sales/product opportunities.
  • Negotiate contracts with clients for Nielsen products and services.
  • Interface directly with clients in support of new business opportunities.
  • Work as part of the Commercial team to develop relationships with new and existing clients, using your initiative and judgment to adapt your communication and service delivery methods to meet client needs. 
  • Develop expertise in Nielsen’s analytical tools and sports media data to aid in identifying commercial opportunities across existing clients and to drive revenue. 
  • Involvement in Account and Operations Planning to advise and influence the commercial strategy to help teams grow existing clients and build the business.
  • Assist with creation of and processing of contracts and managing customer database/Salesforce
  • Based on your knowledge and relationship with the client, take proactive measures to identify potential revenue opportunities and communicate accordingly.
  • Manage project workflow from project setup, prep, briefing and follow up with all the relevant stakeholders. 
  • Study industry trends and insights to deliver impactful insights and strategic advice to clients and internal stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree preferably in Business, Economics, Sports Management, or related field
  • 3-4+ years of experience within the media, sports or research industry, preferably with a client facing role.
  • Core Capabilities: Foundation Sales knowledge, Solutions oriented, Self Motivated, Interpersonal Skills, Customer Focus, Excellent communication skills
  • Customer-centric work experience with ability to drive revenue
  • Effective organizational skills providing the ability to identify priorities and meet all deadlines assigned
  • Intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, problem-solving and attention to detail
  • Ability to independently analyze data, draw conclusions and provide recommendations and insights
  • Knowledge of and interest in the sports, media and entertainment business.
  • Self-starter with excellent initiative and communication skills
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Suite of products, specifically Excel (pivot tables, functions, formulas, charts, graphs) and PowerPoint
