Job Description

As a Security Professional - Distribution X-Ray Screening in PHOENIX, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more.

As a Screener with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment within a logistics and distribution location. Your responsibilities will include monitoring access points, conducting x-ray screenings, and helping to deter security-related incidents while delivering excellent customer service. You will interact with visitors and team members, providing clear communication and upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and a people-first approach. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Screen individuals and/or packages in accordance with established procedures to help to deter unauthorized access and prohibited items at the location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and monitor for irregularities.
• Communicate and collaborate with team members and site personnel to maintain awareness of security-related matters.
• Accurately document observations and incidents as required by site protocols and Allied Universal policies.
• Assist in the implementation of access control procedures to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain orderly flow at the logistics and distribution location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Experience with X-ray screening is preferred.
• A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
