Job Summary

Pharmacy Operations Supervisor, in conjunction with the Director of Pharmacy and his/her designees, has the overall responsibility for overseeing the daily operations of both inpatient and ambulatory care services (Infusion Pharmacy and clinic support) including, but not limited to, to non-sterile compounding, sterile compounding , and unit dose area workflow management The supervisor shall ensure that pharmacy staff services are provided in a timely, safe, accurate, and effective manner in compliance with hospital/departmental policies and procedures and regulatory requirements as stipulated by Board of Pharmacy, USP <795>, <797>, and <800> guidelines, California Department of Public Health (CDPH), The Joint Commission, etc.

Pay Range

Minimum $74.48 Midpoint $98.67 Maximum $122.88

Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.

Experience

• Required: Minimum three (3) years of pharmacy experience in an acute care setting.

• Preferred: Experience in a pediatric acute care setting and/or previous experience in an infusion pharmacy setting

Education

• Required: B.S. Pharmacy degree or Pharm.D. from an accredited college or university.

Specialized Skills

• Required: Proficient in interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word); knowledge of State and Federal laws; ability to supervise and instruct others in pharmaceutical work; analytical skills to; organizational skills necessary to coordinate departmental activities.

Licensure

• Required: Registered Pharmacist – CA Board of Pharmacy, Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – required within 90 days of hire or transfer

Work Environments - Functional Demand:

Light - Moderate energy level Lift and carry 25-35 lbs. Push/pull 50-100 lbs. (ie. empty bed, stretcher).
