Job Title: Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) / Alternate Facility Security Officer (AFSO) Hybrid

Job Description:
Spartronics is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) / Facility Security Officer (FSO) hybrid to join our team. This role will be responsible for overseeing the security of secure systems within a Closed Area. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with all applicable security regulations and policies, manage classified information, and maintain the security posture of our facilities and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) Duties:
- Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and guidelines for the secure systems at the SECRET level.
- Conduct regular security assessments, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance with DoD, NIST, and other relevant security standards.
- Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents and vulnerabilities, providing timely and effective resolutions.
- Maintain and update system security plans (SSPs), risk assessments, and other required documentation.
- Coordinate with system administrators and other IT staff to ensure secure configurations and continuous monitoring.
- Provide security training and awareness to personnel accessing the secure systems.
Alternate Facility Security Officer (AFSO) Duties:
- Oversee the physical security of the secure room approved for open storage, ensuring compliance with all applicable government regulations and company policies.
- Manage access control, visitor management, and security clearance processes for personnel.
- Conduct security briefings, debriefings, and training sessions for employees and contractors.
- Maintain and update facility security plans, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and emergency action plans.
- Liaise with government security representatives and agencies to ensure compliance and address any security concerns.
- Perform self-inspections and support security inspections and audits conducted by external agencies.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- U.S. citizenship and an active SECRET security clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Information Security, Cybersecurity, Criminal Justice) or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in information systems security and/or facility security.
