The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Analyst to support the evaluation and enhancement of Fleet readiness at the platform level. This position plays a vital role in developing and applying systems assessment methodologies, analyzing readiness data, and creating tools to deliver actionable insights for the U.S. Navy. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in data analytics, project management, systems engineering, and Navy-specific operational knowledge.
Responsibilities:
• Provide Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) data to support and evaluate recommendations for improving Fleet readiness.
Lead all aspects of system readiness assessments, including:
• Ensuring assessment criteria are up to date for assigned systems.
• Maintaining timely data updates in the MRDB (Material Readiness Database).
• Responding promptly to community ad-hoc assessment requests.
• Submitting assessment reports in a timely manner.
• Communicate progress, accomplishments, and task adherence to stakeholders via written status reports.
• Collaborate in a team environment to resolve assessment-related issues and identify IT tool development needs.
• Apply continuous process improvement (CPI) techniques to enhance readiness evaluation procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Demonstrated ability to understand and manage assignments and resources to successful completion.
• Proactive approach to identifying and solving problems.
• Knowledge of project management techniques and applications to lead project teams effectively.
• Proficiency with data analytics tools and methodologies.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Experience creating user-friendly web-based graphical user interfaces.
• Familiarity with the structure, ship classes, and systems of the U.S. Navy.
• Proficiency in Python, R, MATLAB, and SQL.
• Experience using business intelligence and visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
• Understanding of the Navy's material life cycle and maintenance processes.
• Ability to analyze and improve processes using CPI methods.
• Knowledge of probability theory and its application to reliability, maintainability, and availability (RM&A).
• Experience applying advanced systems engineering techniques to assess material readiness for military or commercial systems.
• Skill in integrating data from multiple databases to determine RM&A metrics and assess system readiness.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Desired:
• Experience supporting Navy or DoD readiness initiatives.
• Familiarity with MRDB or similar Navy data systems.
• Active DOD security clearance
