JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Adaptive Athletics is looking for a part-time wheelchair basketball assistant coach. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

 

Assist the Director/Head coach in practices, practice preparation, player development, player recruitment, gameday coaching, minor athletic wheelchair maintenance and repair, and practice and competition scheduling.

 

Be familiar with the NWBA and wheelchair basketball classifications.

 

Must be well versed in the sport of basketball with previous collegiate playing and/or coaching experience, specifically in wheelchair basketball preferred. 

 

Experience with adaptive athletes preferred.

 

Hours are primarily in-season from September to March, some off-season work may be required.

 

BACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES

This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.
