THE JOB:

MGM Springfield is seeking an experienced Group Dining & Events Manager to drive group dining and event sales within a dynamic, high‑volume resort setting. This role requires proven success managing complex bookings, negotiating contracts, and collaborating with culinary, operations, and sales teams to deliver flawless events. As the client’s main point of contact, you’ll play a critical role in maximizing revenue while upholding MGM’s service standards.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Drive group dining and event sales by securing new corporate, social, convention, and special‑event business while maximizing revenue and profitability.

• Manage multiple concurrent contracts, including pricing, F&B minimums, space availability, and business term negotiations.

• Serve as the primary client point of contact, detailing all aspects of group bookings and ensuring seamless coordination across culinary, operations, and venue teams.

• Conduct site inspections, prospect outreach, and pre‑ and post‑event meetings to ensure client satisfaction and repeat business.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, destination management companies, wedding planners, production partners, and vendors.

• Collaborate with Catering Sales and other internal teams to cross‑sell venues and optimize event use and yield.

• Develop proposals, menus, group event orders, and tailored event packages aligned with market demand and brand standards.

• Actively participate in marketing initiatives, including annual sales planning, tradeshows, and off‑site client events.

• Provide leadership and representation for the Group Dining & Events sales function within the property and across MGM Resorts International.

• Maintain professional communication standards, meeting same‑day client response expectations and fostering a teamwork‑driven environment.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• 2+ Years of Prior Relevant Food and Beverage Experience in a high-volume hotel

• Previous experience working in a similar resort setting is preferred

• Previous catering or group dining sales experience is preferred

• Willing and able to work a Full-Time schedule, must be flexible to be present for events which includes nights, weekends and holidays

• Working knowledge of Microsoft office

• Working knowledge of Delphi

Pay Range:

The pay range for this role is:

$60,100.00 - $80,200.00

This range represents a good faith estimate of the salary range that MGM reasonably expects to pay for the position upon hire. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.

This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s incentive plan.

 

The estimated annual tips this role could reasonably be anticipated to receive is: $0 - $8,000.
