Your responsibilities
Join our Asset Parameter Management (APM) team at Uniper, where we are dedicated to maximizing the commercial value of Uniper’s existing merchant assets. As a crucial link between Uniper’s COO and CCO functions, our team plays a pivotal role in realizing short to mid-term market opportunities while ensuring highly reliable and efficient operations in compliance with regulatory standards. Our team oversees power generation assets across key markets including the UK, Germany, Sweden, and the Netherlands. The Senior Business Analyst role will be part of Asset Generation team, which is a sub team of APM.
Your role:
As a Senior Business Analyst, you will be our team’s digital champion, playing a pivotal role in driving digitalization topics at APM team. Serving as a vital link between business and IT, your primary focus will be enhancing the existing applications and tools, driving digitalization initiatives, and exploring cutting-edge technologies like AI. You will act as the steward of APM data, ensuring governance and quality assurance. Additionally, you will be instrumental in implementing Uniper's new strategic initiatives, particularly in integrating sustainable green assets into our existing portfolios.
Main Tasks:
- Lead the enhancement of the existing and creation of new Power BI reports used across COO, CCO, CFO functions
- Own and continuously enhance the business applications owned by APM, like SARA, 3PM
- Actively manage the Data Governance task of APM, including being Delegate of Generation and Commercial Data
- Collaborate closely with Digital Program teams COODE and CODIST on implementing digital use cases
- Implement new reporting specification using first class IT visualization tools (e.g. Power BI)
- Support integration of the new assets (e.g., batteries, hydrogen) into APM owned processes, incl. Data Architecture, Data Governance and reports
- Implement reliable and efficient processes, controls
- Foster strong relationships with Energy Assets, Power Trading, Business Controlling, Digital Programs, various IT-Support and other key teams
- Actively contribute to advancing our digital transformation journey
Your profile
- University degree in engineering, economics, IT or comparable studies
- 3–5 years of relevant working experience in the energy industry, preferably in generation and/or trading
- Excellent knowledge of Office (especially Excel, Power BI, Power Point) and basic knowledge of programming skills such as VBA or SQL are beneficial
- Experience working with Snowflake, Oracle or similar database technologies
- Strong analytical skills and ability to understand complex topics and describe them in an understandable manner
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills applied in an international environment
- Demonstrated ability to manage diverse tasks with efficiency and prioritization
- Structured working approach with a collaborative and proactive mindset
- Excellent written and spoken English. German is advantageous
