About This Job
This position will be on-site and located at our HQ at San Diego, California. Remote or Hybrid is not available.Axos Bank has an exciting leadership opportunity as we are seeking a QA Manager. As a member of the Quality Assurance team, the QA Manager is responsible for resource scheduling, coordination, and testing of multiple Axos Bank applications. Responsible for reviewing, interpreting, and applying business rules and logic to ensure a high level of software quality and consistency. Works closely with members of the Project, Product, and Development teams to meet agreed-upon deliverables. Provides technical leadership and direction in the areas of software testing. Leads one or more Quality Assurance teams. Responsible for career pathing, coaching, and training of multiple direct reports. Partners with the Project, Product, and Development teams to ensure high quality and automation across the entire SDLC.
Responsibilities:
- Utilizes existing onshore, near-shore, and off-shore resources and ensures our software projects are delivered on time and with high quality
- Assists with manual testing of various projects for web and mobile applications
- Reviews new and existing functional user stories to ensure good understanding of various Axos Bank requirements and overall functionality of the entire system
- Works with PMO to provide quality metrics on current and upcoming releases and the overall state of quality at Axos
- Creates test plans and test cases and assists with testing and Production issue investigation and Releases as needed
- Works closely and communicates proactively and effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Collaborate with FVP of QA to identify and implement quality assurance process improvements
Requirements:
- Associate Degree or higher in a technical discipline
- 5+ years’ experience testing mobile and web applications, including API and DB
- 3+ years’ experience in a quality assurance management or supervisory role
- 2+ years’ experience creating SQL queries in Oracle or MS SQL
- Strong verbal and written communication ability. Able to explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience working with geographically diverse teams
- Able to use independent judgment to plan, prioritize and organize a diversified workload
- Possesses strong analytical skills and solid problem-solving skills
