Who We're Looking For:

We are looking for a Veterinary Assistant to join our veterinary care team and provide medical, anesthetic, and surgical assistance as needed. Our next team member must be a bright, responsible, self-motivated individual who is in it for the animals and their owners. He or she must be comfortable with speaking to owners, providing and explaining treatment plans, and triage. Proficiency in anesthesia, dentistry, and animal nursing is crucial.

The hourly pay band for a Veterinary Assistant is $20.00 - $21.00, this varies depending on experience, certifications, licensure, and location.

 

Requirements

• 1-3 years experience in veterinary medicine as a vet assistant (required)
• Upbeat, energetic, and outgoing personality
• Desire to learn
• Self-motivation to get tasks done
• Grace under pressure
• Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
• Passion for working with animals and their owners
• Experience with proper animal handling and restraint
• Understands the importance of excellent communication and organizational skills
