About the role

The Staff Data Engineer is responsible for designing changes to the warehouse data model and building scalable and efficient processes to populate or modify warehouse data.

A day in the life!

You will be responsible for the following:

  • Design, develop, and maintain the data architecture, data models and standards for various Data Integration & Data Warehousing projects in Snowflake, combined with other technologies
  • Lead a team of top data engineers to design and implement efficient data pipelines (ETLs) to integrate data from a variety of sources into WellSky Home’s Data Warehouse as well as data model changes that align with warehouse standards and backfill or other warehouse data management processes
  • Expand and optimize our data, data pipeline architecture, data flow, and data collection for cross-functional teams
  • Develop and execute testing strategies to ensure high quality warehouse data
  • Develop and maintain documentation of the data architecture, data flows and data models
  • Maintain ownership of technical solutions from design and architecture perspective, ensuring the right direction and propose resolution to potential data pipeline-related problems
  • Provide technical guidance and support to a vibrant engineering team, and provide coaching and teaching your teammates how to do great data engineering
  • Grow the field of data engineering at WellSky through sustained collaboration, teaching and developing our data engineering standards
     

Do you have what it takes?

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or relevant work experience
  • 8-10 years related work experience
  • SQL Server experience

Do you stand above the rest?

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Snowflake and Big Query or Red Shift
  • Healthcare industry experience
