JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
As a ServiceNow Developer within Entergy’s Operational Governance team, you will provide IT services to internal customers as well as deliver ongoing support for ServiceNow-based software solutions. This role provides the opportunity to engage in the full application lifecycle as part of a scrum team. You will design, develop, and support solutions on the Now platform that supports Entergy’s core IT processes.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop application features with configuration and custom code development.
- Assist in the coordination of any changes, upgrades and testing with support providers for external integrations and systems.
- Participate in peer reviews for application changes.
- Participate in scrum ceremonies such as refinement, demo, and release planning.
- Create workflows and build service requests based on customers’ specifications.
- Use scripting tools and ServiceNow functionalities to automate rote tasks.
- Perform system and integration testing; and monitor health, usage, and overall compliance within the application.
- Generate reports as needed.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum education and experience required of the position:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, business administration, or other technical area of study OR equivalent work experience; advanced degree is a plus.
4+ Years working as a software developer for an enterprise platform.
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position:
- Solid analytic and problem-solving skills with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven experience working with Agile development teams.
- Experience with JavaScript is required.
