Sodexo's Healthcare Technology Management division is seeking a Field Service Biomedical Equipment Technician II to work with a highly recognized medical facilities group with UTMB- University of Texas Medical Branch from Katy, TX to Orange, TX and also from Nacogdoches, TX to Texas City, TX. This is a remote role that allows you the flexibility to work from home when you are not traveling to sites.
Willing to travel to multiple sites in the South Texas Area with the possibility of some overnight requirements.
The main role / responsibilities of the position will be to ensure all related biomedical equipment is maintained in a quality and timely manner. The ideal candidate will have outstanding customer service and communications skills as well as strong technical skills and commitment to deliver excellent repair service in an expedient manner.

Position Summary:
Under supervision of the Account Manager/Site Director, inspects, repairs, maintains and calibrates a comprehensive range of clinical equipment, devices, systems, and instruments. A Field Service BMET II possesses the ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a broad range of clinical inventory devices. Participates in and conducts on-the job training programs regarding technical, administrative, and customer service requirements.
- Troubleshoot, inspect, repair, maintain and calibrate a basic range of clinical equipment, devices, systems and instruments.
- Provide advanced support of equipment for direct patient care
- Interact on a routine basis with clinical health providers in the identification of technology-based problems and solutions
- Solve organization-level customer service issues and complaints
- Prepare required documentation and reports
- Ensure regulatory compliance
- Financial responsibility for purchasing parts and service
- Demonstrate a safety mindset

What You Bring
The ideal candidate should have:
- Experience effectively repairing, maintaining and calibrating clinical devices related to General Biomed such as: Fuji Sonosites Ultrasound Machines, Scales, Physical Therapy Equipment (Treadmills, Stationary Bikes), Phillips/ Mindray Patient Monitoring Systems, Ascom and Rollins Nurse Call Systems, Fetal Monitors, Women’s Health, Probes, Centrifuges, pumps, EKGs, Defibrillators, beds, medical tables, stretchers, and ESUs. (not all are required).
- Experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- The ability to make decisions regarding troubleshooting and repairing medical devices. Excellent communication, customer service and time management skills.
- Field Service experience supporting multiple clinics- Ambulatory, Ancillary, Surgical, Women’s Health, etc.
