Job Description

As a Security Officer - Logistics Screener Shift in West Jefferson, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and support a secure environment at a logistics and distribution location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and delivering outstanding customer service while utilizing computer or tablet technology as needed. You will play an important role in supporting the daily operations of the facility by providing clear communication, teamwork, and embodying our values of agility, reliability, and integrity. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the logistics and distribution facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verifying credentials and screening individuals as required by site protocols.
• Communicate clearly and promptly with team members and site personnel regarding any security-related concerns or incidents.
• Accurately document and report all activities, observations, and incidents according to Allied Universal and site guidelines.
• Remain alert to environmental and operational changes within the logistics and distribution location that may impact security-related operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
