This is a non-exempt position of 40 hours/week for 44 weeks/year. Continuation of position is contingent upon funding allocations.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is responsible for the assisting with the direction and management of all Head Start Center (hereinafter, Center) functions. This position includes advanced or specialized knowledge and skills in managing Head Start Component Area and is responsible for monitoring and evaluating Education, Health and Safety, Nutrition, Mental Health, Transition, Transportation, Parent Involvement, Community Partnerships and Disabilities services. This position is responsible for supervision of program aides and nutritional specialist. This position is responsible for all front office operations including managing telephone calls and maintaining children’s records. This position will work collaboratively with the Center Manager to assure the efficient, effective delivery of quality day-to-day services.
This position will develop and maintain a clear understanding of Federal Head Start Performance Standards and Department of Children and Families regulations to ensure compliance.
STANDARD QUALIFICATIONS:
All employees of Stockbridge Munsee Community must meet the following qualification:
1. Must submit to and pass a pre-employment drug and health screening.
2. Must be at least 21 years of age
3. Must maintain an acceptable departmental attendance record
4. Must be able to work weekends, nights and holidays
5. Must obtain and maintain Elder/Youth License
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

Build an understanding of Center program by communicating its philosophy, mission, and services to staff, families, tribal leaders and the community.

Monitor and evaluate all component area services including Education, Health and Safety, Nutrition, Mental Health, Transition, Transportation, Parent Involvement, Community Partnerships and Disabilities services.

Support day-to-day program operations in the absence of Center Manager providing leadership for the Center program and staff maintaining compliance with all Federal Office of Head Start (OHS); Performance Standards (HSPS); State of Wisconsin, Department of Children and Families (DCF); State of Wisconsin Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), Tribal, and local policies, and procedures. Acts a back-up for all program positions including van/bus driver in the event of staff absences. Assist team in conducting home visits, orientation, and Parent/Teacher Conferences
