HIRING RANGE: $28.44 - $31.60/hour
Provides parts support to the Fleet Manager and Fleet Maintenance Division. Responsible for maintenance of the division’s parts stockroom inventory as well as ordering parts as needed from various vendors. The inventory system is maintained through FASTER, the Fleet Management System (FMS).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Incumbent is accountable for all duties of this job and other projects and responsibilities may be added at the City’s discretion. Employees must be able to perform the essential duties of this job with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Maintains data in FASTER – This includes entering new items, updating current items, performing annual obsolescence tasks, updating and maintaining vendor information.
- Performs associated re-ordering tasks tied to weekly re-order reports.
- Implements and maintains the bar-coding system.
- Picks up parts from local (Front Range Vendors) as necessary.
- Constantly evaluates and adjusts min/max levels in FASTER based on usage data.
- Maintains a clean and organized parts room.
- Works with the Lead Fleet Mechanics and Fleet Manager in vendor management.
- Performs other special projects such as fuel system upgrades, Telematics data management, and FASTER system upgrades and maintenance.
- Performs phone coverage and receptionist duties.
- Serves as a back-up for the Fleet Business Support Specialist.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Reporting Relationships
Supervision Received: General supervision from Fleet Manager and guidance from Fleet Lead Mechanics.
Supervision Exercised: None.

- Ability to generate and modify reports from FASTER using Excel.
- Familiarity with and ability to use the Internet.
Education and Experience
- Education: High school or equivalent
- Experience: 3 or more years’ experience as a Parts Clerk. Public sector experience preferred.
Certification/Licenses/Specialized Training
- ASE Certifications preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle driving record.
Pay Range
$24.32-$31.60Background and reference checks will be conducted for all regular and some variable/seasonal positions.
