Position Summary
Under direct supervision of the Production Supervisor, the production team lead is to oversee and coordinate the production activities of a team, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and on time. This includes managing resources, monitoring progress, and resolving any issues that may arise. The team production lead is Responsibilities include but not be limited to optimization of resources necessary to meet production, safety, customer satisfaction, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
What To Expect:
- Assures Operators are working safely, completing daily safety audits, preventing accidents and increasing the safety environment of the work area
- Focuses on Housekeeping of your work area. Responsible for a clean and organized handoff from shift to shift
- Coordinates Extrusion lines
- Ensures Extrusion lines have all necessary supplies
- Assists with troubleshooting of ongoing technical issues on Extrusion lines.
- Covers Shift Supervisor role on an as needed basis
- Comply with all process Standardization and Engineering specs
- Knowledge of the controls and available variables for both extrusion and lamination
- Responsible for ensuring color change, product change, startup, shutdown and setup standard are done per the work procedures
- Required to operate all lines at standardization, fill out paperwork accurately, follow schedule, and maintain proper raw material levels
- Meet daily efficiency goals and build a cohesive team around these goals
- Required to comply with all manufacturing quality standards
- Monitor and adjust Gage, Cap stock and Color to meet Quality Standards and Company Goals
- Report all leaks, damage and materials waste
- Provide technical training for both lamination and composite extrusion
- Train and certify employees on a mobile equipment
- Perform and verify LOTO procedures are being followed
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience in a Team Lead role within a manufacturing environment
- Experience working with vinyl siding or similar materials is preferred
- Must be Safety conscious oriented
- Must be able to comprehend and communicate basic math skills (including fractions).
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, boxes 20 pounds or greater
- Must be capable and willing to work overtime on short notice
- Must be willing to work in hot, fast paced work environment
- Must be able to work standing on feet 8 or more hours a day
- Must be able read, write, and comprehend work instruction
- Must be able to use small handle tools (Calipers, tape Measures, hand saws, etc.)
- Must be able to do product quality checks and identify bad product
- Must be capable of working with Standard Work processes
- Must be able to operate and be certified on mobile equipment.
- Must be able to learn and utilize problem solving skills for troubleshooting.
- Must be able to work in a team setting.
