Job Summary
The Research Coordinator for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) Center will manage project logistics, including scheduling, dispersing funds, and overseeing data systems such as REDCap, Excel, and the institutional IRB platform. This role involves significant communication work, including drafting email, newsletters, and contributing content for the Center’s website, Vitals page and social media. The ideal candidate will have experience in research communication and demonstrate confidence in navigating institutional systems and workflows. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential. This role will also provide logistical, organizational and infrastructure support for affiliated hubs and projects. The Reasearch Coordinator reports to the Director of the Center for SoTL.The majority of the work can be conducted remotely, though in-person work may be required for occasional on-campus events.
Qualifications
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Schedule meetings, events, and project timelines for SoTL initiatives.
- Coordinate disbursement of research and program funds in alignment with institutional policies
- Organize and maintain research data, using platforms such as REDCap and Excel.
- Assist with IRB submissions and ensure ongoing compliance with ethical research standards.
- Craft, edit, and distribute regular newsletters and email communications.
- Create and curate content for the SoTL Center’s website and social media platforms.
- Maintain accurate documentation of project activities and expenditures.
- Serve as a point of contact for internal and external inquiries related to SoTL projects.
- Work closely with faculty, staff, and students involved in SoTL projects.
- Support outreach efforts to increase awareness and engagement with SoTL initiatives across campus.
- Confidently work within institutional systems and procedures (e.g., finance, IRB, communications).
- Help streamline workflows and improve efficiency in administrative processes.
- Performs other duties as assigned

Education
- Bachelor's Degree Science (preferred)
- Social science/education/communications field (preferred)
Experience
- Some relevant research project work preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Working knowledge of clinical research protocols
- Careful attention to detail and good organizational skills
- Ability to follow directions
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Computer literacy
- Ability to demonstrate respect and professionalism for subjects' rights and individual needs
