About the role
Job Summary
The Sr. Manager of Finance acts as the finance lead for the plant Warrendale which is part of legal entity Fenwal Inc. This role supports the ongoing business, as well as all future growth and development opportunities together with the manufacturing operations team at the Warrendale, Pennsylvania site. This role acts as business partner to Head of Tech Ops Devices and the central Finance and Controlling functions within the global Fresenius Kabi organization.Additionally, to provide cost accounting support for business functions through day-to-day management of reporting, analysis, evaluation, financial planning and forecasting activities; including all Capex related projects for the maintenance of the facility and future opportunities for this Production Unit of the Fresenius-Kabi MedTech.
Position will supervise professional staff on a direct line basis. Individual will be expected to function at a project management level, operating autonomously within previously established parameters/goals/objectives.
Responsible for:
• Managing month end close process such as foreign currency uploads, trouble shooting user issues with existing business processes and creation of master data when necessary
• Review and analysis of proposed transactions
• Assigning appropriate SAP security roles
• Administration of SAP “bolt on” programs such as Open Text and Invoice Center
• Provide Technical expertise related to Concur and T & E Application
Responsibilities
- Manages the preparation, reporting and reconciliation of monthly actual results as compared to Budget, Forecasts and Prior Year and presents results in the Monthly Operating Reviews.
- Leads the budget and forecast process with the support of the Sr. Financial Analyst.
- Manages the Sr. Financial Analyst in the coordination, consolidation, reporting and analysis of Budget, Quarterly Forecasts and Monthly Actuals.
- Works in a cross functional environment to incorporate financial guidance for all aspects of manufacturing.
- Responsible for providing financial analysis for P&L, direct labor, PPV, manufacturing variances, volume forecasts, and overhead absorption.
- Manages ad hoc or special projects, such as business case and Profit/Loss analysis in order to assess and materialize new opportunities.
- Initiates production reporting for manufacturing efficiencies and works towards continuous improvement.
- Manages inventory controls, including cycle counts and physical inventories in order to meet corporate requirements, improve accuracy and reach targets.
- Understands and manages inventory levels to both accommodate build plan while concurrently driving to meet finance goals on inventory level and turnover.
- Successfully manages SAP accounting role and develop enhanced reporting and automation of routine functions.
- Supervises the Sr. Financial Analyst at defining transfer prices according to Corporate guideline.
- Manages Capex process for Fresenius-Kabi Warrendale site.
- Approves and manages the preparation of monthly Journal Entries where necessary.
- Supervise, develop and build a strong team through motivation, direction and individual accountability.
- Works with business unit accounting team to oversee AP and AR and ensure proper reporting.
- Analyzes inter-company sales and COGS to generate product profitability reporting.
- Understands manufacturing key performance drivers and participates in problem solving to improve safety, quality, and productivity.
- Conducts all finance and financial planning activities in compliance with company policy and objectives.
- Approves SAP security roles assuring no segregation of duties conflicts exist.
- Supervises and reviews year-end inventory standards change on the Device side of the business.
- Possesses understanding and works quickly and effectively in ERP and computer - based environments. Handles highly confidential financial and product data.

REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Finance
- CPA preferred
- Master’s degree in management or finance preferred
- Minimum 7+ years related experience
- Experience in financial planning, valuation, mergers and acquisitions preferred
- Strong management and communication skills, especially focused on staff development.
