JOB SUMMARY
The Warehouse Clerk of Food Services receives, stores, and distributes all food and supplies for the Central Kitchen and offsite locations. Maintains food and supply storage areas in compliance with proper sanitation guidelines and Agency procedures. Assists in maintenance and organization of inventory systems and controls. Also assists in other kitchen departments as assigned.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receives all deliveries of food and supplies to the Central Kitchen. Verifies, quantity, pack, and quality of each item ordered (Identify and inspect for damage, spoilage, etc.). Promptly report inaccuracies or discrepancies to Kitchen Project Manager.
- Submits delivery invoices to the Administrative Assistant or Project Manager for processing upon verification of merchandise receipt.
- Rotates and stores all foods and supplies received, properly dates and labels perishable and TEFAP product, stores appropriately within guidelines, and practices FIFO (First In, First Out)
- Safely operates forklift and pallet jack equipment. Reports maintenance and safety concerns to Kitchen Project Manager.
- Maintains Agency standards of cleanliness, security, safety, and organization of warehouse, refrigeration, and other storage areas.
- Receives requisition forms, fills orders and stages orders accurately for delivery to kitchen or offsite locations.
- Accepts returns of unused product from the kitchen and returns to correct storage location.
- Participates in monthly physical inventory for all kitchen departments.
- Attends all Agency meetings and trainings as requested.
- Assists in kitchen production or delivery as assigned.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- One-year equivalent experience required.
- Ability to read, write, and perform standard mathematical computations.
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
- Forklift and pallet jack certification.
Preferred Qualifications of Position
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret invoices, orders, or bills of lading.
- Demonstrates accuracy in both shipping and receiving of product.
Knowledge and Skills
- Time management and strong customer service skills.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Frequent exposure to heat, cold, and fumes in refrigeration, freezer, and kitchen environments.
- Stand, pivot, and walk on hard surface.
- Lift, push, or pull up to 60 lbs.
- Occasional driving under all conditions, weather, traffic, urban, rural, etc.
- Noise level can range from low to high.

Part-Time: 6am - 12-12:30pm

$19.00/Hour
