We are currently seeking a Warehouse Manager for Mississippi State University. This position will oversee the receiving and processing of incoming stock/product, preparing and completing orders for delivery or pickup for various Mississippi State Athletic events as well as performing inventory and quality control.
Mississippi State University is a large campus in the heart of Mississippi where the Bulldogs reign supreme. Football games bring in 65,000 fans and their new, top of the line baseball facility houses the 2021 College World Series Champions.
Qualifications
- Managing all warehouse staff: Warehouse Associates, loading dock workers, and temporary workers.
- Responsible for the overall cleanliness of the warehouse and associated offices.
- Creating equipment pull forms and pulling equipment for events. Must become familiar with equipment terminology.
- Unpacking and organizing equipment returned to warehouse.
- Ensure monthly inventory is counted and submitted.
- Performs transfers of products and/or merchandise to and from the warehouse
- Responsible for receiving products and merchandise, checking for quality and damages to items, and the proper storage of the delivered products and merchandise
- Responsible for operating equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.
- Assists warehouse team with equipment & inventory control.
- Processes requests for supplies, prepares merchandise for delivery, and prepares packages for shipping according to established procedures
- Responsible for both pre & post event set-up/break down responsibilities
- Ensures security of company assets
- Other duties and tasks as assigned by manager
Performs other related duties as needed.
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience
- 2+ years of warehouse lead experience
- Must be available for a variety of shift times (nights and weekends are needed)
- Must have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, ability to be DOT certified and have the ability/willingness to drive box trucks.
- Experience in operating common warehouse machinery including forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.

- Must be a team player and possess great communication skills
- Must be comfortable working in a warehouse environment and following all safety protocols
- Must have a strong work ethic and be highly organized
- Must be proactive and hands-on
