Position Summary
The role of the Digital Business Development Manager is to manage and grow digital sales and adoption, as well as support and build partnership with Crawford Sales teams. The position will include specific goals and expectations. This is a high-visibility position with phenomenal growth opportunities. Digital Platform training will be provided, but the chosen candidate must possess a tremendous amount of high energy, creativity and leadership instincts. Experience in eCommerce or working with an ERP is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Directly responsible for meeting specific yearly eCommerce sales goals
- Strategic thinker who can plan for and drive sales and adoption across all customer-facing digital channels
- Develop internal and external training programs to enrich our associates’ and customers’ knowledge and understanding of our digital platform, tools, and value-add services
- Work closely with outside, inside and counter sales teams to identify customer needs and provide digital solutions to meet those needs
- Work closely with purchasing, credit, and project management teams to identify SOP enhancements and provide solutions to improve operations
- Identify target customer opportunities by using internal analytics suite
- Visit customers to demonstrate, implement, and/or troubleshoot digital capabilities
- Assist in driving incremental sales via digital platforms by working with the marketing team on demand-generation campaigns
- Build, analyze and distribute monthly digital sales and usage reports highlighting branch and region performance, recent wins, and opportunities
- Create and present high-level presentations to be given to executive team, branch management, sales teams, strategic vendor partners, and customers
- Work cross collaboratively with Crawford’s regional Digital Business Development Managers to share best practices to drive increased knowledge and usage of the company’s ecommerce tools
- Attend Sonepar USA Digital meetings as needed
QualificationsQualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Electrical Distribution Industry a plus
- 3-5 years in eCommerce, digital business, digital marketing, or marketing technology
- Sales experience strongly preferred
Additional Requirement
- Ability to travel 60% of the time, sometimes overnight
