ASAP -10/18/2025 (30 Weeks) @ 40 hours: TBD; Split weekends required; 7 am - 3:30 pm with 30-minute meal break--2 openings

Job Opening:

The Department of Conservation and Recreation seeks applicants for the position of Seasonal Environmental Services Specialist III.

 

DCR-Division of Water Supply Protection’s Quabbin-Ware River Region has seven occupied office buildings.  The purpose of this position is to perform cleaning and related domestic services to the interior of these buildings. Incumbents will clean floors by sweeping, vacuuming, and washing; clean interior surfaces such as walls, ceilings, and windows; clean lavatories and washrooms; empty waste receptacles; and perform related work as required.

Environmental Service Specialist III's walk and stand for prolonged periods of time and lift and carry heavy objects.  Incumbents will work varied shifts including weekends, holidays, and possibly nights.; Incumbents may be exposed to harmful chemicals, noxious fumes, dust, etc., and wet and slippery floors. 

Under the direction of the Institutional Maintenance Forman, or designees, the successful applicant: 

-Cleans floors by sweeping, vacuuming, and washing using appropriate supplies and equipment.

-Cleans interior surfaces such as walls, ceilings, windows, furniture, etc., by dusting, polishing, and washing using appropriate supplies and equipment.
