About the role

As a Program Financial Analyst I, you will be using your skills and expertise to review, monitor, and control project data in support of our internal and external project reporting. You'll be responsible for preparing budgets and schedules for contract work and assisting with cost proposals, pricing documentation "what-if" cost analysis, program cost forecasts, and cost variance analysis. You'll positively impact the business by staying aware of outstanding work against each contract in order to maintain realistic contract cost and schedule baselines.

As part of the Business Area Business Operations organization, the Program Financial Analyst provides direct program support to the Director of Programs, Program Managers, Associate Programs Managers, and Business Managers utilizing SNC’s integrated program and financial management tools.

The Program Financial Analyst partners with the appropriate corporate functional organizations to review, monitor, and control project data in support of monthly internal and external project reporting.

The Program Financial Analyst is responsible for providing support that is compliant with SNC’s Corporate Planning and Performance Measurement processes, and ultimately fulfills a key checks and balances role within the organization.

This role is open to a hybrid schedule or 100% remote work in most states

Responsibilities:

  • Provide pricing documentation to be utilized in proposal development including ‘what-if’ program cost analysis
  • Provide assistance in development of payment plans (Milestone, CLIN Liquidation, etc.)
  • Assist in the utilization of product oriented or Business Area specific work breakdown structures (WBS) with responsibility assignment matrixes, WBS dictionaries, milestones, baseline establishment, and budgeting of projects/tasks
  • Provide assistance in timely completion of PMPs and program baseline upon Contract Negotiation Review of Cobra budget data, ensuring budgets tie to program baseline and are not exceeding contract value.
  • Work with PMs and APMs to complete program statusing, and ETC forecasting, resulting in accurate Program and Resource projections
  • Develop management by exception reporting and analysis for senior management review Generate contractually required cost performance reports
  • Provide notification to the Contracts department on limitation of cost or funds as required by the contract
  • Provide Earned Value Management guidance, support, and reporting in accordance with established internal process and/or external requirements
  • Participate in role specific working groups
  • Partner with other Business Areas and Corporate Functional groups on process and tool improvement as it relates to the Program Financial Analyst role

Must-haves:

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field of study and typically 0-2 years of relevant experience.
  • A higher level degree may substitute for experience
  • Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education
  • Ability to effectively and clearly communicate program and financial related information
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, especially Excel
  • Forecast Analysis Budget Management
  • Ability to analyze and effectively communicate programmatic and financial information
  • Ability to take initiative and be proactive to ensure quality and timeliness of deliverables
  • Ability to be resourceful and apply appropriate problem solving skills

Preferred:

  • Expert in Excel Pivot tables Formula V Look up’s
  • Earned Value Management experience
  • Master’s Degree
  • VBA Experience
  • Financial Modeling

Estimated Starting Salary: $59,935.70 – 82,411.59
