The Collaboration Technology team at Zillow is a dynamic group of professionals who are dedicated to delivering world-class tools and technology to support Zillow's employees! As part of the broader Enterprise Applications organization, Collaboration Technology works closely with teams across IT, Product, and Engineering functions to configure, implement, and maintain software applications that are used by Zillow Group employees in their day-to-day job activities. About the role

Join Zillow as the Senior Manager of Collaboration Technology and take charge of a team of experienced application engineers! Your main focus will involve optimizing our core collaboration tools for the company across applications like Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Microsoft Office, and others. This role also requires effectively balancing the expertise and career aspirations of your team members with the organization's objectives.

As a Senior Manager of the Collaboration Technology Team, you will:

  • Drive execution of initiatives in support of helping our employees collaborate more seamlessly and gain leverage out of existing toolsets.

  • Continually assess AI capabilities offered across core collaboration tooling, evaluating potential return on investment, and driving feature rollouts forward that will help our employees save time and collaborate more effectively.

  • Represent Zillow's needs and best interests with third-party vendors, ensuring that they are accountable to expectations, service level agreements (SLAs), and contractual commitments.

  • Champion growth opportunities by carefully considering the skills, career aspirations, and business needs from existing team members, ensuring a well-balanced team with potential to continually develop and grow their careers at Zillow.

  • Discover possibilities to reduce technical debt and propel ongoing improvement initiatives, guaranteeing Zillow maintains a world-class technology infrastructure.

  • Constructively negotiate trade-off discussions with other senior leaders, articulating pros and cons while providing options and recommendations that align with Zillow's goals and values.

  • Collaborate regularly in planning and estimating activities, offering mentorship and support to team members using your previous experience and understanding of the business, and actively participate in discussions about capacity and priorities.

  • Establish strong connections with key individuals in the Product, People, Technology and Engineering organizations, serving as a reliable consultant who can provide mentorship, anticipate challenges, and find innovative solutions for business issue.

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. β€œRemote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions.

In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC the standard base pay range for this role is $160,500.00 - $256,500.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC and may not be applicable to other locations.

In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.

Who you are

  • Experienced in managing collaboration technology stacks, focusing on Google, Microsoft, Jira, Slack & Zoom for mid-large enterprises.

  • 5+ years of people leadership experience, with a consistent track record of getting results through others.

  • Familiar with Agile Scrum processes and associated ceremonies, and can effectively lead a team in an agile environment.

  • Passionate about career development and multiplying the impact of your team members, providing mentoring and coaching to individual contributors.

  • Ability to seamlessly adapt your communication style to the audience ranging from individual contributors on your team to senior leaders and executives.
