Reporter/Senior Reporter, Private Credit

LevFin Insights is currently seeking a Reporter/Senior Reporter, Private Credit based out of our New York office.

LevFin Insights provides critical news and commentary to financial services firms about the leveraged loan, high yield bond, special situations and private credit markets. The chosen individual will help LFI grow its coverage in the burgeoning private credit and direct lending markets.

We’ll Count on You To:

• Produce real-time stories throughout each market session
• Identify market trends and write timely insight pieces for a sophisticated audience of banks, asset managers and advisory firms
• Cultivate and maintain a network of sources that include direct lenders, asset managers, lawyers, advisors and other similar actors
• Be a team player – be willing to provide editorial support when needed, work toward team goals and development of LFI’s private credit platform

What You Need to Have:

• At least two years covering financial markets, or have a strong writing ability and the motivation to write about the interesting, burgeoning private credit asset class
• Proficiency, or at least familiarity, with financial data
• Accuracy, ability to meet deadlines and produce insightful stories

What Would Make You Stand Out:

• Experience covering corporate credit markets, particularly private credit
• Source network in corporate credit markets
• Knowledge of financial statements, SEC filings and legal documents
• Excellent news judgement, history of breaking news
