Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Lead Logistics Analyst to join our team! In this role you will provide Continental United States (CONUS)- based logistics planning and material management expertise to develop, integrate, and sustain the protective posture of air bases across the U.S. Air Forces Europe (USAFE) and Air Forces Africa (AFAFRICA) Areas of Responsibility (AOR).

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the program manager to assist with management of the logistics and procurement process used throughout the Air Base Air Defense (ABAD) program.

To include:

  • Defining and optimizing processes used to purchase equipment and move material

  • Identifying problem areas and leading the effort to implement solutions

  • Proactively identifying opportunities for efficiencies in processes and staffing

  • Overall responsibility for the team’s logistics process to include interfacing with the Parsons procurement team

  • Manage logistics-related contract deliverables such as the logistics support plan and obsolescence management plan

  • Coordinate and optimize the flow of goods, materials, and resources within the AOR, focusing on cost-effective, timely movement from acquisition to delivery

  • Utilize data analysis, schedule timelines, and collaboration efforts with program logistics and procurements to develop processes and improve efficiencies

  • Manage inventory using and existing online database

  • Develop route optimization plans as necessary to ensure schedule, cost, and sustainability

  • Be the CONUS representative for an overseas-based logistics team and represent their interests in meetings and conversations they cannot attend

  • Troubleshoot and resolve transportation issues

  • Manage and track ordering, storage, and inventory control

  • Periodic travel to the AOR for inventory and face-to-face engagements

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 8+ years in a related field

  • Experience with military logistics, to include moving large equipment using military transportation

  • Expertise in supply chain management

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to develop logistics support plans

  •  Manage inventory using and existing online database

  • Secret clearance is required


What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Experience with Foreign Military Sales

  • Experience leading a team of geographically separated members

  • Knowledge of defense systems

  • Experience defining and managing logistics processes for a $10M+ program

Security Clearance Requirement:

An active Secret security clearance is required for this position.​

Salary Range: $86,700.00 - $151,700.00
