Quality Control Inspector

Winpak Quality Assurance is seeking a QC Inspector to join their Quality Control team based out of Senoia GA on a rotating 12-hour shift. In this role, you will be responsible for testing the quality of products during production, ensuring that all finished products meet Winpak’s specifications. You will communicate test results to manufacturing and quality personnel, prioritize critical testing tasks, and support the organization by maintaining high standards of product quality and safety throughout the production process.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Test product quality for visual, physical, and mechanical properties on production lines at startup and at pre-determined intervals.
• Record and report test results and communicate findings to manufacturing and quality teams.
• Place non-conforming products on hold and request corrective actions from Operations when necessary.
• Conduct follow-up testing and communicate quality resolutions as required by Operations personnel.
• Rotate through different production lines to prioritize critical testing needs.
• Perform minimal calibration of testing equipment and understand calibration procedures.
• Adhere to safety policies and assist in improving efficiency, quality, and productivity in the department.

 

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in manufacturing, as a QC Inspector, Quality Technician, or in a similar lab environment.
• Basic written and oral communication skills.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
• Knowledge of quality control processes, including testing methods.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Technical education background or related degree.
• Experience with ISO 9001 quality systems or certifications.
• Certification in quality tools such as SPC, Six Sigma, or TQM.
• Experience in the plastics industry or similar manufacturing environments.

 

Additional Information:

• This position requires rotating 12-hour shifts
• This position is 100% onsite.
• Ability to lift up to 40lbs.
