Associate Director, Global Insurance Group - SLC Management
What is it for you:
The Associate Director, Global Insurance Group will serve a critical role supporting the SLC Global Insurance Group, which focuses on business development and relationship management. The candidate will support the team in many areas, including business management and building internal relationships. The candidate should be well organized, proactive, analytical, possess strong written and verbal communication skills, have experience of managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders as well as demonstrate a proven ability to multitask. It is critical for the candidate to be an independent thinker and change agent. Investment knowledge across private credit, real estate credit & equity, infrastructure, and public fixed income is a plus. This is not an immediate client-facing role and doesn’t need to lead to a client-facing role.
What you will do:
- Lead various business management related functions to ensure the team stays organized and operates in the most efficient manner possible
- Oversee the team’s use of Salesforce, the CRM system, by researching, implementing and monitoring best practices and developing and analyzing custom reports. Own prospect research and profile maintenance with Salesforce
- Maintain and update sales pipeline, wins tracker and territory segmentation reports to be reviewed at weekly sales meetings
- Support the team with reporting and communication-oriented tasks like budget monitoring and producing reports for the SLC sales and management teams
- Coordinate with the marketing team to help shape the direction and ensure timely execution and creation of marketing materials, conferences, events, etc.
- Work closely with the Insurance Client Solutions Team to develop bespoke client solutions, multi-asset strategies and thought leadership content.
- Explore ways to leverage sales and insurance industry data as effectively and efficiently as possible
- Support the sales process through the entire cycle from target market analysis and sales plan development to meeting preparation, follow ups and tracking key metrics
- Oversee the client and prospect meeting process, including research and preparation of materials
- Participate in the creation and review of RFP documents prior to submission
- Stay up to date on industry developments across asset management and insurance
- As the Associate Director gains knowledge and experience, she/he may have the opportunity to become more involved with communicating directly with prospects and consultants
What you need to succeed:
- 3+ years of relevant experience in an institutional asset management or consulting role;
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team oriented atmosphere;
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage complex projects within deadlines
- Exceptional communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation) with the ability to explain complex ideas in a simple way;
- Strong research skills with the ability to concisely synthesize information
