Power and Controls division of Collins Aerospace is growing and seeking a strong candidate to join the Power and Controls segment, as a Sr. Manager on the CSCL Team (Collins Management System Supply Chain Lead) team.

The successful candidate will be the supply chain lead for the Rockford, Illinois plant. As such they will own the supply chain strategy and performance for the site and be the conduit into supply chain for other functions. The site supply chain lead will assess historical trends and analyze the current environment, as well as develop and stay connected to a broad network across P&C to quickly receive and assimilate recent developments in order to anticipate, mitigate, and prevent supply chain risks.

The successful candidate will lead and coordinate cross-functional teams including supply chain, operations, engineering, quality, and value stream across Power & Controls to identify root cause of supply chain issues and execute both short- and long-term solutions.

This role will also create and execute the supply chain strategy and operational goals tied to site supply chain performance and future growth, as well as develop and implement new processes, standards and operational plans to support the strategy.

Essential to this role are strong communication skills; critical thinking; strong business acumen; a focused sense of urgency; experience in project management; and ability to prioritize with minimal oversight, as it is the forward-facing supply chain individual responsible for the end-to-end supply chain performance.   

• Ability to produce flawless reports, presentations, and situation analysis
• Able to prioritize multiple issues/projects at various stages and drive to resolution
• Strong verbal and written communicator
• Proficient in MS Office, specifically excel functions (e.g. Power pivots, VLOOKUP, etc.)
• Demonstrated experience presenting to senior leaders

The position supports work that covers a variety of shifts in a 24-hour/seven-day schedule, as such, there may be a need to support work on occasional nights and / or weekends.

What You Will Do

• Thorough understanding of your product's critical parts, barriers to delivery, latest status, and ensure your counterpart in operations is kept informed of key developments
• Work with internal teams to improve quality and delivery schedule from suppliers
• Develop and execute a supply chain strategy for your plant site
• Provide data/input in support of monthly sales & operations planning

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience in the aerospace industry
• SAP Proficiency
• Mastery of project management and leading collaborative, cross-functional teams
• Adept at reading and understanding drawings and other technical documents
• 3 years Finance experience
• Substantial experience with root cause/ corrective action analysis (RCCA)
• Familiarity with metals raw materials industry, processing, bar stock, etc.
