Hi, we're Oscar. We're hiring a Senior Manager, Operational Insights to join our Provider Data team.

About the role

The Senior Manager, Provider Operations has end to end oversight and accountability, including strategic direction setting, prioritization of team operations, and driving business intelligence/insights. The Senior Manager is a strategic thought leader within the team, with a broad view/understanding of Oscar’s Provider Data and Network Operations infrastructure, underlying logic, and data models. The Senior Manager also represents the team in cross-departmental discussions of opportunities for technology enablement, efficiency, scale, and quality improvement. The Senior Manager’s work will build and improve upon Oscar’s technology platform for core insurance functions and drive key initiatives that contribute to post production issue management and remediation, and audit and controls that are vital to supporting Oscar’s growth.

You will report to the Associate Director, Data Management and Insights.

Pay Transparency:

The base pay for this role is: $113,600 - $149,100 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar’s unlimited vacation program and annual performance bonuses.

Responsibilities

  • Drives strategic objectives set by leadership team by distilling information to management team and ensuring initiatives are aligned with overall vision 
  • Maintains a high-level understanding of overall design and architecture of the major systems impacting the business inclusive of relevant tools, frameworks, major dependencies, and infrastructure 
  • Manage, maintain, and influence relationship with cross functional team across Oscar to structure and operationalize business initiatives by demonstrating understanding of the goals and processes applicable to stakeholders
  • Manages the growth and development of direct reports while holistically growing and developing individuals on the team and aligning goals with Oscar values 
  • Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of work experience in health insurance, consulting, healthcare, and/or operations
  • 5+ years of experience managing, driving and overseeing projects.
  • 4+ years of leadership experience 
  • Prior experience in the healthcare industry, preferably in provider data management
  • Understanding of health plan ecosystem and various life cycles within (e.g. claims, member)

Bonus points

  • Experience using data to improve programs
  • Experience in a fast-paced operations environment
  • Experience delivering projects independently and within a team environment
  • Experience developing project plans and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience working in dynamic environments, including but not limited to start-up experience.

Pay Transparency: 

Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education, and experience.
