Senior Finance Analyst

<p><b>Band</b></p>Level 5<p><br/> </p><p><b>Job Description Summary</b></p>We’re a team of dedicated and smart people united by a drive to achieve together.<br/>You will be a key Business Partnering role with responsibility for coordination of financial processes at the Corporate level and liaison with top management within Finance and the Function/Unit. You will be actively involved in actual reporting process, contributing insights and update of executive reports related to month, quarter, and annual results for the Function/Unit and ensure smooth month-end closing including actuals vs plan deviation analysis and support projects and initiatives on regular basis.<p><br/> </p><p><b>Job Description</b></p><p>Key Responsibilities:</p><ul><li><p>Partners effectively on different dimensions (local and global, as well as Senior Management)</p></li><li><p>Responsible to provide consolidated views of Function/Unit to be used for key executive presentations including business drivers</p></li><li><p>Develop and implement the strategic financial plan in close collaboration with global business leaders for Function/Unit</p></li><li><p>Provides cost transparency and ensure good understanding of key cost drivers</p></li><li><p>Evaluates risks &amp; opportunities, proactively communicates and makes recommendations for mitigation. Follows up and ensures issues are addressed</p></li><li><p>Conduct value added analyses, e.g. Resource Allocation, Profitability analyses, Benchmarking to recommend short -and long-term targets and improvement areas.</p></li><li><p>Ensures business partners understand the financial processes and follow internal guidelines/SOPs</p></li><li><p>Support continuous automation &amp; simplification initiatives to optimize Corporate BPA financial planning and reporting processes</p></li><li><p>Support adhoc process improvement projects that deliver value for Novartis Group</p></li><li><p>Provide analysis that drive efficiency in all lines of the NVS Group P&amp;L</p></li></ul><p></p><p>Essential Criteria:</p><ul><li><p>University degree in Finance &amp; Accounting. MBA desirable.</p></li><li><p>Strong experience in financial position </p></li><li><p>Financial/Analytical Thinking</p></li></ul><p></p><p>Desirable Criteria:</p><ul><li><p>BPA experience</p></li></ul><p></p><p>Why Novartis?
