About the role

This is a regular, full-time position at the Laboratory in Talihina | The schedule will be Mon-Fri 9a-5:30p with the potential for evening and/or weekend shifts

Pay will start between $25-$27 per hour | Weekly earned wage access is an option for this position 

Job Purpose or Objective(s):  As the Medical Laboratory Technician, you will perform routine and special laboratory assays of patient specimens for use in the treatment and diagnosis of disease. You will report to the Supervisor.

Primary Tasks:

1.       You will perform laboratory tests including microscopic, chemical, hematological, immunologic, and bacteriologic according to established standards.

2.       Maintain detailed records of tests performed and report results to appropriate personnel.

3.       Understand and comply with laboratory Quality Control and Quality Assurance policies.

4.       Perform routine maintenance on equipment and sterilize laboratory equipment.

5.       Maintain inventory of laboratory supplies.

6.       Use hospital and laboratory information systems and software.

7.       Work with doctors, nurses, and other personnel to provide technical guidance and address concerns.

8.      You will perform other responsibilities as may be assigned.

Required Education and Experience:

·         Associate degree in science or;

·         Practicing MLT before 1994

·         Knowledge and capability to of performing daily maintenance on instruments
