Responsibilities

Our Behavioral Health Registered Nurses work with elderly patients that are dealing with difficult Diagnoses. These nurses work collaboratively as part of a professional and medical team focused on restoring the patients’ health by following evidence-based nursing practices, exercising independent judgement, and managing complex health issues.

 

Our ideal nursing candidate will have the proven ability to exercise patience, flexibility, and careful listening when their efforts are often assessed. This nurse will strive to calm patients when they become agitated, strengthen patients coping skills, and make it a build a therapeutic, meaningful relationship.

 

Typical nursing duties include identification of needs, individualized care planning, assessing/monitoring physical parameters, and administering medications/intravenous infusions all to help optimize the patient’s recovery to health. Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

 

1. Must have current and valid State license as a Registered Nurse.2. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.3. Working knowledge of Mental Health Laws and practice standards. 4. Working knowledge of interdisciplinary treatment team process, behavioral health programming and daily nursing functions for inpatient and outpatient behavioral health units. 5. Working knowledge of the continuum of care for behavioral health care.
