Trauma Program Manager (TPM) will oversee, monitor, and evaluate all trauma-related activities within the trauma program. The TPM will work in collaboration with the Trauma Program Medical Director (TPMD) to ensure compliance with trauma standards, quality improvement, and operational effectiveness.Job Description
- Lead and oversee the trauma program, ensuring adherence to trauma system requirements and accreditation standards.
- Collaborate with the TPMD to develop, implement, and evaluate trauma care protocols and performance improvement initiatives.
- Maintain an effective working relationship with the TPMD and other key stakeholders.
- Participate in trauma system site surveys and accreditation preparation.
- Ensure clinical excellence in trauma care through program oversight and staff education.
- Coordinate trauma-related continuing education and training for staff, ensuring compliance with annual educational requirements.
- Attend and maintain a minimum of 75% participation in the Trauma Performance Improvement and Patient Safety (PIPS) meetings.
- Oversee the trauma registry, ensuring accurate and timely data collection, submission, and analysis.
- Supervise trauma registrars and performance improvement coordinators (if applicable).
- Monitor and evaluate trauma patient outcomes to drive process improvements.
- Provide leadership and strategic direction for the trauma program.
- Manage trauma program budgeting, ensuring adequate resources and staffing.
- Serve as a liaison and consultant within the hospital and broader trauma system at local and state levels.
This position requires providing service to the following age population(s) ALL in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.
Qualifications Experience:
Pennsylvania RN required
- BS required; MS preferred, ACLS certification, CCRN or CEN required
- At least 3 years of clinical experience in Emergency Department or Critical Care Management required.
- Demonstrated expertise in trauma care, including educational preparation, certification, and clinical experience preferred.
- Strong leadership, administrative, and program development skills.
- Experience in performance improvement and trauma registry management preferred.
- PC proficiency required, Windows and Microsoft Office, Data base management and spreadsheet knowledge preferred.
