Role Summary:
The Senior Manager will report to the Director, Employee Relations & DEI, Saks Global and support store and corporate teams, overseeing a team of two ER Managers. The Sr. Manager is responsible for managing the Alertline system and conducting thorough investigations into all reported incidents of policy violation, discrimination, harassment, and other employee relations matters. The successful candidate will use appropriate and acceptable standards/methods of investigative practices, take any necessary partners, and formulate an official investigative report. The Sr. Manager will maintain a tracking system on the outcome of all investigated cases and communicate resolutions and recommendations to all necessary parties. The Sr. Manager will also assist stores with talent management, the issuing of progressive discipline, and conducting terminations via the current HRIS.
Key Qualifications:
● 7+ years of progressive HR experience with a focus on employee relations
● 3-5 years experience leading, conducting, and closing investigations; experience leading a team preferred
● Track record of success partnering with senior leaders, serving as a credible and trusted resource.
● Demonstrated strategic thinking with the ability to envision, communicate, develop and implement short and long term change management initiatives.
● Outstanding interpersonal skills; demonstrated influence and diplomacy at all levels.
● Self directed with a passion for delivering results.
● Technologically astute with strong computer and systems proficiency; experience with Workday and GSuite a plus.
● Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Role Description:
● Manage the Alertline system, ensuring that reports are properly received, logged, and investigated.
● Oversee investigations into reported incidents, including conducting interviews, gathering evidence, and analyzing data, and collaborating with necessary partners.
● Work store cases regarding associate conduct and performance, rendering decisions and providing any necessary paperwork/documentation.
● Collaborate with other departments, such as Employee Relations (ER), People Business Partners, and legal to ensure that all investigations are handled appropriately.
● Maintain confidentiality. This may involve limiting access to information to only those who need it.
● Provide regular reports to senior management regarding the status of investigations, including any findings, recommendations, and actions taken.
● Establish and maintain positive working relationships with other departments, external parties such as vendors or legal counsel, and stakeholders to ensure the success of investigations.
● Track and analyze Alertline data to identify trends, determine root causes, and provide long-term solutions.
