We are currently seeking an exceptional customer service professional to join us as a Supplier Quality Engineer

The Supplier Quality Engineer is accountable for conducting on-site supplier audits to verify whether new or existing supplier processes, documentation, testing methods, techniques, equipment, facilities and finished products are following required specifications, and in accordance with ISO, AS9100 standards and Incora supplier requirements.

The Supplier Quality Engineer will have a strong knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes, AS9100 Quality Management Systems; Blueprint Reading, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing principles, Gauge Reproducibility and Repeatability, external auditing techniques, and an understanding of root cause analysis related to aerospace.

The SQE is responsible for monitoring supplier conformance score cards and performing audit procedures, ensuring supplier initiation, research and response to corrective action issues are completed in a timely manner and verified to customer and/or Incora specifications and ISO, AS9100 standards. The SQE will also be responsible for qualifying suppliers and conducting risk assessment of suppliers as required.

The Supplier Quality Engineer is accountable for ensuring the validation and corrective actions of non-conforming manufactured aircraft hardware, bearings, electrical products and product documentation and those corrective measures meet acceptable industry reliability standards and regulations, in accordance with Incora Q.A. Work Instructions. The SQE may perform a dimensional evaluation and/or initiates a series of technical evaluation tests.  The SQE interacts with Incora sales representatives, customers, suppliers, and outside laboratories, if necessary, to collaborate and determine the corrective actions necessary to achieve the best solution for meeting customer requirements.  The SQE monitors, notifies, records and updates Incora sales representatives, suppliers, customers and quality data management systems of the corrections initiated and release of pending orders in process.

About you

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical discipline (or non-technical degree with 5 years of Aerospace manufacturing or supplier auditing experience)

  • Minimum 3 years of Quality Assurance experience in a regulated manufacturing environment
  • Experience in GD&T, PFMEA, and Gage R&R
  • Experienced with ANSI/ASQ Sampling Procedures and Tables for Inspection by Attributes.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in interpreting Engineering Drawings
  • Effective problem solving, root cause analytical skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Quality Management System tools and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Strong communication, presentation and teamwork
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access & Outlook).

Preferred Qualifications

  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer or Certified Quality Auditor – AS9100
  • Six sigma Green Belt
  • Lean knowledge and kaizen experience
