Engineering Manufacturing Planner

Job Duties:

• Assist in analyzing production requirements and launch the appropriate orders for manufactured goods. Monitor the status of these orders, and react to any changes or discrepancies in the appropriate manner. 
• Improve information flow from engineering requirements to the production schedule including raw materials / finished materials and date planning.
• Production and inventory planning is essential to be successful in this role.
• Maintain a role in the order release process. Provide internal direction and assistance with assigned Product lines. 
• Provide technical and administrative support to manufacturing.
• Develop and provide input to Manufacturing build plan.
• Develop priorities and communicate with support functions while taking an active role in problem resolution as required.

Job Requirements: 

• Broad knowledge and experience in: MRP, BOM, Routings and order release systems
• Above average skills in: Critical thinking and detail
• Demonstrated ability to: be Self-motivated and flexible
• General knowledge of: Build to order manufacturing requirements

Preferred Education/ Experience:

• Machine shop manufacturing / purchasing a strong plus.
• Operations Degree or equivalent experience in a planning function.
• Background in manufacturing and/or operations required.  
• Knowledge and experience in ERP systems a strong plus. 
• Ability to see overall strategy and execute at the detail level
• Minimum of 5 years in manufacturing operations
