Department Overview
The Platform & Reliability Engineering Client Information, Clearing and Settlement (CICAS) Middleware Applications department is part of the Network Processing Platform and Reliability Engineering organization. We are responsible for CICAS Platform development and support as well as strategic infrastructure projects related to the CICAS suite of applications. We are looking for the right person to be part of our development team.
Essential Functions
- Leads collaborations with team members across business units and technical staff within Visa to gather business requirements for use in designing technical solutions.
- Recommends and develops design options and identifies based on the scope and scale of multiple projects considering the effort required to implement final requirements.
- Guides system enhancements and production fixes across teams.
- Defines plans to extend current systems to new products and services or refinements to standards, processes, and systems.
- Addresses complex solution fixes during rotational, on-call support for problem analysis and resolution when necessary.
- Offers feedback to team members during design and code review sessions as appropriate to ensure the quality of work delivered by teammates is in accordance with development standards.

**We do not expect that any single candidate would fulfill all of these characteristics. For instance, we have fantastic team members who are really focused on building scalable systems but didn’t work with payments technology or web applications before joining Visa!
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Master's degree in Math, Science, Engineering, or Computer Science, Information Systems or related field AND minimum eight (8) years of experience in a directly related field.
