Job Description:
Accenture Federal Services is seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Scientist to join our team. We are looking for candidates that a knowledgeable or have worked in the supply-chain analytic space. The successful candidate will develop and implement advanced techniques and analytics applications to transform raw data into meaningful information. This role requires expertise in data-oriented programming languages and visualization software, as well as proficiency in data mining, data modeling, natural language processing (NLP), and machine learning (ML) to extract and analyze information from large structured and unstructured datasets.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop and implement techniques to analyze and interpret large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
- Utilize data-oriented programming languages and visualization software to create meaningful insights and dynamic reports.
- Apply data mining, data modeling, NLP, and ML to extract valuable information from datasets.
- Visualize and interpret data findings, and effectively communicate results through detailed reports and presentations.
- Lead the development of dynamic data reports that are updated in real-time or near real-time.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data-driven decision-making processes
Here's what you need:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in data science, data analytics, or a related field.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
- Proficiency in data-oriented programming languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL) and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
Bonus points if you have:
- Masters (M.S.) or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline
- Supply-chain analytic experience and model development
- Experience with data mining, data modeling, NLP and ML techniques
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently on high-visibility or mission-critical projects
- Data engineering experience and database management Demonstrated ability to interact with customers and requirements gathering
- Advanced certifications in data science or related fields
- Strong network within the data science and analytics community
- Proficiency in ELT pipeline tools (NiFi, Databricks, etc.)
Security Clearance:
- Active TS/SCI clearance or active TS with SCI eligibility
As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, New York, Washington, and the District of Columbia. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set and level of experience.
