Job Description

Are you ready to embark on a dynamic role that combines technical expertise with innovation? Join our team as a Technical Services Representative, covering the vibrant territories of Eastern Michigan and Northeast Ohio. As a crucial member of the Sealed Air family, you'll be at the forefront of promoting the use of cutting-edge Cryovac packaging materials and equipment systems. Expect some travel, up to 25% overnight. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical Excellence: Provide top-notch troubleshooting and technical support for packaging equipment using Cryovac materials at customer facilities.

• Efficient Administration: Ensure the timely completion of all administrative reporting, including service call reports, value projects, and other necessary documentation.

• Proactive Customer Guidance: Advise customers on establishing preventive maintenance programs and spare parts requirements to enhance equipment longevity.

• Collaborative Value Creation: Work closely with Sales to define and capture the value generated through service activities and special projects.

• Hands-On Support: Assist in the installation of Cryovac equipment, offering comprehensive training to customers on proper operation and maintenance.

• Information Hub: Keep customers informed about safety regulations, technical updates, modifications, and improvements.

• Sales Partnership: Collaborate with the sales team to support the introduction of new products and capitalize on emerging opportunities.

Qualifications

• Educational Background: High School Diploma or equivalent; technical school education preferred.

• Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in installing, troubleshooting, and servicing industrial equipment, ideally in a food processing plant.

• Skills: Mechanically and electrically inclined, with a flair for innovation. Proficient in using basic hand and power tools.

• License and Travel: Possess a valid US Driver’s License. Ability to travel approximately 20%, including overnight stays.

• Flexibility: Willingness to work weekends as needed.

• Multitasking Expertise: Strong time management, communication, decision-making, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

• Tech Savvy: Familiarity with computer technology, including Email, Excel, Word, Google Apps, and CRM systems.

• Team Player: Ability to work cross-functionally to achieve company goals.

• Industry Experience: Previous experience in commercial or industrial troubleshooting, installation, servicing, and programming. Background in food packaging or related fields is a plus.
