Entry-Level Programmer

Location: Knoxville, TN (On-site majority of the time)
Travel: Some travel required

Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Programmer to join our development team. The ideal candidate is a recent graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a collaborative engineering environment.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing both our custom AutoCAD plugins and our standalone plant management software. You will work primarily in C# and C++, leveraging modern software development practices to support our design and production teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain custom C# and C++ AutoCAD plugin code to support internal design and drafting processes.
• Develop and maintain our C# WPF-based standalone plant management application.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and other developers to define and implement software requirements.
• Debug, test, and optimize code for performance and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews, documentation, and version control processes.
• Assist in deploying software updates and supporting end-users.
• Travel occasionally to other offices, project sites, or partner locations as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in C# and familiarity with C++.
• Understanding of WPF and desktop application development.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work primarily on-site at our Knoxville, TN corporate office.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for project or client support.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of software design patterns and object-oriented programming principles.
• Familiarity with source control systems (e.g., Git).
• Experience or interest in the residential building or construction industry.
