SPECIAL NOTES:
Two (2) years of experience working in a human resource office is preferred.
This position requires a security background check, including fingerprint as a condition of employment.
Employees of the Department of Financial Services are paid on a monthly pay cycle.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING REQUIRED ENTRY LEVEL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of general office procedures and practices; correct grammar usage; and basic Microsoft Office.
- Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work activities; follow written and verbal instructions; review data for accuracy and completeness; communicate effectively; and establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
This position acts in a confidential capacity assisting the Bureau Chief and the Office of Human Resources and is required to exercise independent judgment and may reasonably be required on behalf of the employer to assist in the preparation for the conduct of collective bargaining negotiations, has a role in the administration of agreements resulting from collective bargaining negotiations’ have a significant role in personnel administration.
Coordinates and directs office services for the Bureau of Human Resource Management with the following:
- Conducting all employment verification requests, dual employment requests and tuition waivers.
- Preparing all new hire, promotion, reassignment, and demotion letters.
- Completing and distributing all tuition waiver forms for Department employees.
- Processing all dual employment forms to include getting appropriate signatures, distributing, and filing all approved forms.
- Coordinating the office supply orders with the Division Administrative Assistant – ensuring paper is stocked for the copy rooms and all Bureau staff are stocked with office supplies.
Provides front desk receptionist duties to include greeting of walk-in customers and handling incoming telephone calls. Also, responsible for logging and distributing mail and hand-delivered documents to appropriate staff members.
Responsible for assisting the Recruitment and Benefits unit with breaking down separated employee's files, creating new employee orientation packets, etc. Responsible for assisting the Classification and Pay/Attendance and Leave unit with special projects, etc.
Responsible for assisting with redacting public records in accordance with F.S. requirements.
Performs other related duties and special projects as assigned.
