 JOB SUMMARY: 

The Housing Opportunities for People with AIDS Housing Intervention Program (HOPWA HINT) is a 3-year, national Housing and Urban Development (HUD) project to provide innovative housing services to eligible individuals. 

The HOPWA HINT Program Coordinator is responsible for the development and management of this housing program, as well as the supervision of the project staff at Positive Impact Health Centers.

This position involves the development, management and administration of PIHC’s HOPWA HINT program under the direction of PIHC’s Housing Services Program Manager. This will include the development and coordination of an integrative service delivery system that incorporates housing, financial and vocational services for project participants. The ideal candidate will have supervisory and program management experience in a nonprofit and/or healthcare setting that serves a low-income and demographically diverse client population.

Requirements

Requirements: 

•  Possess and demonstrate a basic understanding of HIV, including factors associated with the interplay of unstable housing on HIV health outcomes, and social factors affecting a client’s ability to remain engaged in care.
• A minimum of 3 years of related experience working in an HIV- focused service setting.
• Experience with the management of Federal, State or community grants is highly preferred.
• Two years of supervisory experience is preferred.
• Professional experience in the provision of housing services is highly preferred. Professional experience with HOPWA services is also highly preferred.

 Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in a social service specialty (e.g. social work, psychology, sociology, public health). Master’s degree in a social service specialty is highly preferred.
