This position is for an entry level Electrical Engineer with emphasis on PCB and system-level design and test, incorporating analog, digital, or power functions.  The successful applicant will have a background which includes defining functional requirements, assisting in the development of complete assemblies including interaction with mechanical, software and firmware resources and supporting production of end products.

The target product line typically includes airborne communication and processing systems that may incorporate power management, digital communications, display control, analog functions, and other application-specific control circuitry.  The ability to conduct successful design reviews, develop and adhere to design processes and effectively document design approaches is essential. This role is onsite, in Richardson, TX. Limited travel is possible for this role.

What You Will Do:

  • You will perform engineering work and applied research, development, and Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design for new products, and to ensure quality standards and functional objectives are met.
  • You will participate in technical preparations for new product development and implementation to ensure new products meet the required specifications.
  • You will troubleshoot electrical device problems to ensure that issues are resolved efficiently.
  • You will create engineering and production test procedures and test fixtures.
  • You will operate computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance.  Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • An active DoD clearance.
  • Experience in designing digital and analog products including microprocessor systems, low-power supplies, communication subsystems.
  • Experience in creating engineering and production test procedures and familiarity with ALM tools including Jira and Confluence.
  • Knowledge of appropriate EMI/EMC standards for military applications.
