Why You Will Love this Job:

Rehlko is searching for a Maintenance Supervisor. In this role, responsibility is to support, direct, coordinate, and supervise maintenance employees assigned to the department.  Apply good communication, problem solving skills, and team leadership to maintain a customer service focus within the maintenance department in support of production, safety, and facility requirements.  Provide technical support to maintain and continuously improve productivity, quality, equipment up-time, preventive, and predictive maintenance procedures.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the supervision of maintenance work team(s) including, but not limited to establishing daily work activities, monitoring performance, providing feedback, training, collaborating with other functional areas (i.e. production, engineering, quality, quality, purchasing).

  • Identify problems pertaining to the process of maintaining equipment and make suggestions for improvements and participate in resolution of those problems.  Support the use of continuous improvement tools (kaizen events, 5S audits, etc) by the work teams.

  • Assist Production, Maintenance, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Safety by providing technical support, troubleshooting techniques, lessons learned, and best practices to improve productivity, maintainability, and reliability.

  • Accountable for the overall safety of work team(s) and understanding the proper usage of equipment within the work teams.  Understand the basic principles of and maintain OSHA and EPA regulations, as well as Rehlko safety, housekeeping, and operating policies and procedures.

  • Maintain effective communication with production supervision/management.

  • Participate in monthly progress reports, accident investigation reports, vehicle / equipment damage reports, lockout / tagout audits, cost saving / waste elimination reports, and safety audits.

  • Responsible for the direct supervision of maintenance work teams which will consist of Mechanics, Electricians, Electro-Mechanics, Millwrights, Maintenance Apprentices, Lubrication Support, and Facilities and Ground Support.

  • Personally demonstrate and drive the Rehlko Core Competencies.

  • Computer Skills should include Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook (e-mail) and SAP.

  • Perform any other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree/Technical Degree or Journeyman Card/Status required; bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Strong verbal and written communication and leadership skills are required.

  • Basic computer skills with the ability to understand and learn programs quickly are required.

  • 5+ years of maintenance experience or related is required.

  • Strong technical experience, including but not limited to fabrication, welding, facilities maintenance, mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and ability to read blueprints is required.

  • Technical on the job experience is preferred.  

  • Experience in a previous supervisory role, preferably with maintenance or related technical field is required.

  • Experience with SAP, Work brain, and Microsoft Office Suite.
