Lead Assembly Test Tech - (Part-Time) Temporary
Santa Barbara, CA
Your Tasks:
This position is primarily responsible for administering the assembly of parts, creating and improving ICA processes, dispositioning raw material, testing, maintaining and verifying inventory, and contributing to the development and recommendation of methods, tools and fixtures to optimize production.
Essential Functions:
- Administer all tasks and functions required in producing interposer to chip assemblies.
- Disposition incoming raw materials including inspection, rework and maintenance of inventory levels for all production parts.
- Maintain and order equipment and supplies necessary for ICA production including clean-room accessories.
- Create and analyze reports for chip inspection quality and document failure modes.
- Organize the development of tools and fixtures for optimizing ICA production.
- May provide guidance and training to other support personnel.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree; 4-6 years' experience in electronic assembly; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have prior experience in mechanical, electrical and optical assembly, experience in micro-assemblies preferred.
- Must have solid communication skills and he ability to interact with design and manufacturing engineers daily.
- Can follow protocol and process instructions while maintaining cleanroom manufacturing practices.
- Must have experience with Excel, Word and Outlook.

Work Environment:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. This job is performed in a temperature-controlled facility without exposure to extreme hot or cold temperatures. Generally, this job is performed in a Shipping/Receiving/Warehouse Facility within an Office Building. Occasions in which this position must work outside, in which temperatures may vary. This position deals with temperature-controlled materials in which personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required due to extreme temperatures. Used research/clinical equipment may be handled in this job and strict SOPs and PPE must be worn.
