Job Description Summary

Miami University seeks a collaborative and innovative leader to serve as the Director of Dual-Credit Programs. The Director will direct and maintain dual-credit programs such as College Credit Plus (CCP) for all Miami University campuses (Oxford, Hamilton, and Middletown, OH), the Early College Academy (ECA) for Miami University Regionals (Hamilton and Middletown, OH), and develop academic pathways for dual-credit students that lead to college-level degrees and support workforce development. The Director will report to the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at the Regionals, but will serve to support dual-credit programs for all Miami University campuses.

Job Description

Miami University seeks a collaborative and innovative leader to serve as the Director of Dual-Credit Programs. The Director will direct and maintain dual-credit programs such as College Credit Plus (CCP) for all Miami University campuses (Oxford, Hamilton, and Middletown, OH), the Early College Academy (ECA) for Miami University Regionals (Hamilton and Middletown, OH), and develop academic pathways for dual-credit students that lead to college-level degrees and support workforce development. The Director will report to the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at the Regionals, but will serve to support dual-credit programs for all Miami University campuses.

Facilitate partnerships with local school districts to grow dual-credit programs at Miami University; collaborate with academic departments to identify and organize course offerings for dual-credit students; coordinate the application and enrollment process for new and current CCP and ECA students; partner with university academic advisors and high school counselors to ensure proper advising of dual-credit students; serve as a point of contact for faculty, parents and students in resolving student and faculty issues related to dual-credit programs; market the programs to prospective students and their parents, Ohio school districts, and the community and participate in the high school information sessions to promote the programs; promote retention and matriculation of the dual-credit students; work with local area high schools to identify credentialed high school faculty to teach in the CCP program; collaborate with various student support offices to provide co-curricular opportunities for dual-credit students; and collaborate with the Office of Institutional Research and Regionals Admissions to generate and submit reports for ODHE with regard to dual-credit programs.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master’s degree; 3 years of experience in higher education or K-12 education.

Consideration may be given to candidates with experience in working with K-12 partners; Working knowledge of higher education student success best practices; Ability to utilize both quantitative and qualitative data to guide decisions; Demonstrated ability to develop partnerships with K-12 and industry partners; Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate with multiple constituencies; Working knowledge of dual-credit programs.
