Job Description

Our Ireland Roads Team currently has a vacancy for a Senior Road Engineer OR Consultant within our Dun Laoghaire office following continued growth of the workload and the team.

We are looking to grow this team with individuals who have a sound technical background, good communication skills, and that share our enthusiasm and determination to develop our business and deliver for our key clients.

They should be ready to take the next step in their career taking on responsibility for delivery and co-ordination of projects and design packages on complex road and infrastructure projects. They will have the ability to deal directly with clients and fill a key project co-ordination position within the wider team leading graduate engineers, technicians, and supporting disciplines to deliver successfully.

The candidate will be expected to lead and deliver on our portfolio of active travel schemes where there will be opportunity for significant progression where the right candidate will grow into a design lead and project manager role. 

The role will suit a self-motivated individual who is aspiring to take a lead role in project delivery and manage dynamic teams delivering high quality projects. The person will need to adopt a flexible approach and be able to work away from our Dun Laoghaire office for short duration to suit project needs.

They will have experience of working collaboratively as part of a team developing a range of local, national, and international schemes or similar major civil engineering projects, and will have been directly responsible for delivering scheme design packages, and co-ordinating input from other disciplines.  The candidate will ideally have experience of working on urban schemes and dealing with the associated challenges.

Minimum Requirements

• Experience of supporting delivery of infrastructure through the Irish statutory processes
• Experience of design of schemes in an urban setting
• Significant technical design experience across a range of disciplines to National Cycle Manual (or similar international cycle design guidelines), TII Standards and DMURS or similar transferable international experience
